Norristown Small Business Directories

Those of you on Facebook may have noticed this past month that the NBA has been adding business listings each day for Norristown’s small businesses. If you want to view this directory, go to this link. You don’t have to be signed onto Facebook to browse, only if you want to comment.

The criteria is simple: all independently-owned small business located within Norristown’s municipal borders are eligible, as are home-based businesses owned by Norristown residents, as long as they promote a healthy local economy.
Businesses who aren’t members of the NBA are listed by name, what they sell, address and phone. Member businesses receive a deluxe listing featuring all of the above, plus hours, website, email, Facebook page link, and any other pertinent info.

We began by listing businesses that were likely to offer goods people might want for the holiday season – flowers, baked goods, gifts, decorations like trees and wreaths, etc.
January will be Restaurant month, when we begin a directory dedicated to Norristown’s eateries, adding approximately one each day.

Later in the year, we’ll add personal service businesses like barbers, hair and nail salons, auto mechanics, etc., then professional services like lawyers and architects.
Browsing our directories will you find the best of local businesses, and help Norristown’s economy in the long run.

If you have a favorite small business that you don’t see listed yet, mention it in the comments below, or send an email to info@norristownba.org or post it to our facebook page . Remember, it must be an independent business (no chains), and must be located in Norristown (see map). Send us the name and address. We'll look up the rest.
